Chapter 6: Revelations
The bridge of the Nebula was wrapped in a tense silence. The crystalline artifact still floated before them, reflecting starlight in kaleidoscopic hues. It seemed to pulse at a rhythm Lara couldn’t decipher, like an ancient heart beating in sync with the cosmos itself. There was something deeply unsettling about that structure, as if it were alive or, worse, waiting to be awakened.
Dr. Rune worked silently at the console in the main hall, his eyes fixed on the data streaming in front of him. His fingers flew over the controls, configuring more complex scans and fine-tuning every reading the Nebula could gather. The only sound breaking the silence in the control room was the soft hum of the ship’s operating systems.
Lara approached Rune, studying his focused face. “Rune, what are you finding?” she asked, her tone betraying a hint of anxiety. She wanted answers, but a part of her feared what they might discover.
